'Diablo III' cambia de director
Después de más de 7 años de trabajo al frente del juego, Jay Wilson ha confirmado en los foros de Battle.net que abandona la dirección de ‘Diablo III’. Hasta que Blizzard encuentre a una persona que pueda hacerse cargo de este puesto, Wilson permanecerá ayudando a todo el equipo.
El motivo principal que ha dado Wilson para abandonar ‘Diablo III’ es que a partir de ahora pasará a dirigir un nuevo proyecto dentro de la compañía, del que por el momento no se conoce ningún detalle. Por lo que sabemos podría tratarse del desarrollo de un nuevo título o quizás le hayan puesto al frente de ‘Titan’, ese nuevo MMO que la compañía lleva preparando desde el año 2007…
Jay Wilson explica los motivos para salir de 'Diablo III':
“He llegado a un punto creativo donde tengo muchas ganas de trabajar en algún proyecto nuevo. Los directivos de Blizzard han sido bastante amables conmigo y me han dado esta oportunidad. En el transcurso de las próximas semanas voy a abandonar ‘Diablo III’ para incorporarme a otro lugar dentro de Blizzard. Esta decisión no ha sido fácil para mí y no la he tomado a la ligera, pero al final siento que he hecho lo correcto.”
“Estoy dejando ‘Diablo III’ en buenas manos y mi salida no pondrá en peligro el progreso del juego, seguirán trabajando como se ha hecho hasta ahora: Escuchando, jugando y mejorando. No abandonaré al equipo del todo, ya que estaré a su disposición hasta que se decida quien será la persona que asuma la dirección del juego.”
El equipo se encuentra trabajando actualmente en el parche 1.0.7, el cual ya se encuentra en los servidores de prueba, y añadirá como principal característica los duelos entre los jugadores. Aquí tenéis el avance de todo lo que encontrareis con esa actualización.
