'WoW' ya tiene fecha en cines, 18 de diciembre de 2015
Llevamos mucho tiempo escuchando rumores sobre su realización pero nunca habíamos sabido nada oficial acerca de su fecha de salida. La película del MMORPG más jugado de la historia estaba en camino y por fin de manera oficial se ha confimado. Tendremos película sobre el WoW en cines el 18 de diciembre de 2015.
Poco a poco hemos ido sabiendo cosas sobre la realización de la película ambientada en el 'WoW' (World of Warcraft), hace poco incluso nuestro compañero Luis-Garrido nos contó las posibilidades que había de que Colin Farrell fuera uno de los protagonista (personalmente espero que no) pero la verdad, aparte de algún que otro detalle de este tipo no sabíamos mucho más.
Hoy, en la cuenta oficial de Twitter de Blizzard hacían el siguiente anuncio:
Nos complace anunciar que "WARCRAFT" de @Legendary Pictures se lanzará por Universal Studios Entertainment el 18 de diciembre de 2015.
Por si alguno no sabéis quienes son Legendary Pictures os refresco un poco la memoria, han sido los que han llevado al cine la saga de 'El Caballero Oscuro' de Chistopher Nolan, 'Watchmen' o 'Pacific Rim' entre muchas otras.
La cuestión es ¿harán una película digna de lo que es el 'WoW'?
Exacto, esa es la cuestión, porque no nos engañemos ¿cuántas películas inspiradas en videojuegos habéis visto que valgan la pena? A mi sólo me viene a la mente 'Silent Hill' y algunos casos han llegado a hacer aberraciones (véase la saga 'Resident Evil' con poco o nada que ver con el argumento original de los juegos). Pero bueno, queda algo de esperanza y es que Blizzard sigue muy de cerca el desarrollo de dicha película y todos sabemos como es la compañía americana con sus productos, muy exquisita.
Vosotros que creéis, ¿estará a la altura, o por el contrario os da un poco igual todo lo relacionado con 'WoW'? Yo personalmente soy de los que espera la película con ansia y espero que no me defrauden. Por cierto, los de Legendary Pictures tienen en mente llevar otra saga de videojuegos a la gran pantalla y no es otra que 'Mass Effect'... ahí lo dejo.
