Daniel Quesada en el Metropoli Gijón
El pasado domingo día 29 de junio, a las 7:00 pm, Daniel Quesada, jefe de sección de Hobby Consolas, dio una charla sobre su libro “Resident Evil Pandemia”. En ella comentó las venturas y desventuras que conlleva escribir un libro y cuanto se aprende sobre lo que escribes en el proceso. Aparte, y como no podía ser de otra manera, también habló sobre el mundo de los videojuegos en general y su trabajo en la revista Hobby Consolas.
Con respecto al tema principal de la charla, que era su libro, Daniel Quesada comentó bastantes cosas sobre el universo “Resident Evil”, tanto películas como videojuegos, y sobre todo, como el boom de esta saga de videojuegos dio lugar al desarrollo de más títulos de “Resident Evil” que acabarían por convertirse en juegos e incluso en sagas diferentes, como es el conocido caso de “Devil May Cry”. La charla aparte de hablarnos del contenido de su libro, iba más enfocada a lo que ocurre en el transcurso de su escritura y la investigación sobre el tema sobre el que se quiere escribir. Daniel Quesada comentaba como había descubierto muchas cosas que desconocía sobre la saga de videojuegos, y eso es una cosa que sorprende mucho tratándose de un profesional que lleva muchos años en contacto directo con la industria del videojuego, comentaba como muchos proyectos habían acabado por cancelarse incluso en fases bastante avanzadas de su desarrollo, o como algunos títulos y la buena salud de la que gozaba la saga se ven truncadas por malas decisiones, sobre todo, empresariales. También tuvimos la oportunidad de hablar con él y hacerle un par preguntas justo antes de que empezara la charla, a continuación tenéis el video en el que Daniel Quesada nos da su opinión sobre el festival Metrópoli y su primer año.

En cuanto finalizó su conferencia se abrió un amplio turno de preguntas y respuestas, y como cabía esperar, con lo que al público como al ponente le interesan los videojuegos, fue muy difícil centrarse solamente en “Resident Evil Pandemia” y la saga de videojuegos. De esta manera se tocaron todos los palos, hubo preguntas sobre todo tipo de videojuegos, desarrolladores, le pidieron que compartiese su opinión respecto a los “youtubers”, preguntas sobre la revista Hobby Consolas y alguna de Axel Springer en general, confesó que había caído en la trampa de los kickstarter e incluso, aún después del incidente del Retromadrid de este año, hubo lugar para una pregunta sobre Yen.
En general fue una conferencia redonda, en la que Daniel Quesada habló sobre su libro y sobre el mundo de los videojuegos en general.
