Campeonato de Videojuegos Pokémon 2012
The Pokémon Company ha anunciado hoy los primeros detalles del Campeonato de Videojuegos Pokémon 2012, que tendrán lugar entre el 3 de marzo y el 1 de abril de 2012 en cinco grandes ciudades europeas: Birmingham en Reino Unido, Essen en Alemania, París en Francia, Madrid en España y Milán en Italia. Aquí se va a celebrar concretamente en el IFEMA.
El campeonato se divide en tres categorías dependiendo de la edad de los participantes: Júnior,Sénior y Máster. Como novedad este año serán los cuatro mejores clasificados en vez de los dos del año pasado, quienes podrán disfrutar del viaje y el alojamiento gratis para participar el Campeonato Mundial Pokémon 2012 que se celebrará en Hawái, Estados Unidos, del 10 al 12 de agosto de 2012.
Pero hay más! Este años se pondrán crear equipos usando Pokémon de la Pokédex Nacional, debiendo usar sus juegos Pokémon Edición Negra y Edición Blanca de Nintendo DS.
Esta ultima novedad supone que el número de Pokémon que los jugadores pueden usar es superior al del año pasado lo cual incrementará también la dificultad, siendo necesaria una mayor habilidad y mejor estrategia para conseguir ser el Campeón Nacional de Videojuegos Pokémon.
J.C. Smith expresa su entusiasmo por el campeonato diciendo: "Estamos impacientes por ver a miles de jugadores y fans de Pokémon en los cinco Campeonatos Nacionales de Europa esta primavera."
El formato del Campeonato es de Combates Dobles usando la conexión por infrarrojos.
Todos los aspirantes se dividirán en las tres categorías de las que consta el Campeonato de la siguiente manera:
- Categoría Júnior: nacidos en 2001 o después
- Categoría Sénior: nacidos en 1997, 1998, 1999 o 2000
- Categoría Máster: nacidos en 1996 o antes
Y aquí tenéis la lista con las fechas y localidades en Europa de Campeonatos Nacionales de Videojuegos Pokémon 2012:
- Sábado 3 de marzo—Reino Unido, Birmingham, National Exhibition Centre, Hall 11
- Sábado 10 de marzo—Alemania, Essen, Messe Essen, Halle 1A
- Sábado 17 de marzo—Francia, París, Espace Champerret, Hall C
- Sábado 24 de marzo—España, Madrid, IFEMA, Pabellón 5
- Domingo 1 de abril—Italia, Milán, Centro Congressi Milanfiori, Strada 1

Para empezar debes saber que las plazas se adjudican por orden de llegada por lo que conviene no retrasarse pues hay un tope de participantes, en Campeonatos Nacionales de Europa, la cola de la categoría Máster se abrirá a las 8:00 a.m. y se cerrará a las 8:30 a.m, las colas para inscribirse en las categorías Júnior y Sénior se abrirán a las 12:30 p.m. y se cerraran a la 1:00 p.m. La participación es gratuita.
