Lo que Xbox One aporta: 8GB de RAM y tres sistemas operativos
Xbox One ha tenido una presentación un tanto exigua. No se nos ha dicho mucho cómo funcionará la consola. Sólo se nos han dado unas cuantas cifras que, cuanto menos, ya sabíamos. Se nos ha explicado mucho menos que en PS4 y ni una sola palabra sobre qué tipo de gráfica incorpora la consola. ¿Queréis saber con detalle que se ha presentado? Seguid leyendo.
Los datos que ya se conocían se confirman en buena parte. 8 GB de RAM tendrá la consola, con una arquitectura basada en 64 bits. También tendrá dos procesadores con cuatro núcleos cada uno. Sobre los procesos gráficos, de momento no se ha explicado nada. Más detalles acerca de si AMD fabrica el cacharro o su gráfica, nada. Ni siquiera sabemos a qué velocidad corre la RAM. Y nada de su explícito funcionamiento.
Se podrán reproducir discos Blu-Ray, como ya hemos dicho previamente al tratarse de un centro de entretenimiento más que de una consola. Su disco duro será al uso y de 500 GB, e incluirá conexiones WiFi Direct y USB 3.0. Según la propia Microsoft, Xbox One será "muy silenciosa", nada que ver con su antecesora.
Tres sistemas operativos en Xbox One
Por supuesto, todo será de un acceso rapidísimo, como ya quisieron explicar durante todo este tiempo. Para ello, se han desarrollado tres sistemas operativos dentro de la consola. El primero servirá para los juegos y todo lo que propiamente dicho requiera del hardware de la máquina. El segundo sistema será un Windows muy similar en interfaz Metro a Windows 8 que se encargará de todo lo que sea reproducción de contenidos.
El tercer sistema operativo, afirman en Microsoft, será posible para hacer funcionar la consola en multitarea. En este caso, no se sabe cómo funcionarán los ocho núcleos de proceso de la consola. Al venir en dos grandes procesadores con cuatro núcleos, igual Xbox One utiliza uno para juegos y el otro para el sistema operativo. Algo así mostraría cómo en Microsoft han mimado con celo el hecho de que sea un centro de entretenimiento más que una mera consola.
Como último dato interesante, decir que Xbox Live tenía 3.000 servidores dedicados para el estreno de Xbox 360. Ahora, empezará con 300.000 para el arranque de Xbox One.
