Los juegos de XBLA tampoco funcionarán en Xbox One
Nos lo esperábamos. Pero sigue siendo un nuevo palo. Vale que Xbox One no tenga retrocompatibilidad, pero es que también perderemos todos los juegos que hayamos comprado en Xbox Live Arcade. Aunque reaparezcan versiones para la nueva de Microsoft, no servirá haberlos comprado para 360. ¿La respuesta de los de Redmond? Que mantengamos nuestras viejas consolas para jugar a esos títulos.
Quien lo ha confirmado ha sido el vicepresidente de Microsoft Game Studios, Phil Spencer, quien en una entrevista con GameSpot ha avisado a quienes poseen una Xbox 360 que se sigan aferrando a ella. Porque de sus juegos comprados en Xbox Live Arcade, igual que el resto de juegos, nada de nada en Xbox One.
"Esos juegos [refiriéndose a Arcade] seguirán funcionando en tu Xbox 360 mientras tu Xbox 360 funcione". No sé qué opinar del cierto rentintín de Spencer, que podría haber confirmado simplemente dicho hecho en lugar de decir obviedades en un tono casi jocoso. "Xbox One no es retrocompatible y pensamos que quienes invierten bastante en una colección de juegos digitales querrán conservar su Xbox 360"
Spencer ha indicado que la intención de Microsoft es que Xbox 360 coexista con su hermana mayor, y ha explicado que podremos acceder con la misma cuenta en dos máquinas diferentes como una forma de ponérselo fácil al usuario.
Mismas cuentas en Xbox One y 360
"No has de separar identidades en Xbox One o 360, es lo mismo, ya que tú eres tú. Mi red de amigos es la misma en ambas consolas, mis logros también los mismos", ha dicho Spencer en relación a mantener la misma cuenta en ambas máquinas. "Por lo que pensamos que es importante mantener el servicio en ambos sistemas", ha manifestado.
En fin, se trata de un detalle más en la falta de retrocompatibilidad de la nueva de los de Redmond. Lo peor del caso será cuando aparezcan juegos que ya tenemos con el mismo avatar y la misma cuenta de usuario en Xbox 360 y nos digan que para disfrutarlos en Xbox One haya que volver a pagar. Pasará seguramente.
