'Watch Dogs' acuña el término "hiperconectividad"
"Todo el tiempo y en cualquier parte". Este es el objetivo que se ha impuesto para 'Watch Dogs' su director creativo, Jonathan Morin. El juego ha sido sin duda uno de los grandes triunfadores de "la noche de PS4", mostrando un gameplay absolutamente espectacular. Y es que el título de Ubisoft promete ser uno de los juegos del año.
Durante el PlayStation Meeting del pasado 20 de febrero, se confirmó que 'Watch Dogs' saldría para PS4, y no sólo eso, si no que además acompañaría a la consola desde el mismo día de su lanzamiento -lo que por cierto fecha el estreno del juego en torno a noviembre de este año-. Pocas horas después se hacía público que también vería la luz para Wii U, y a estas alturas nadie duda de que también contará con versión para la próxima consola de Microsoft, de modo que las opciones para jugar al título abarcan todo el espectro.
'Watch Dogs' reinventará la funcionalidad "tiempo real"
Como sabéis, 'Watch Dogs' está ambientado en una ciudad donde un ente digital omnipresente controla cada movimiento de sus ciudadanos. La sociedad de la información ha llegado a tal punto que quien gestiona las comunicaciones, maneja el mundo. Los canales de comunicación se han convertido en el arma definitiva, y la conectividad es al mismo tiempo una oportunidad y un riesgo.
En este contexto, Jonathan Morin ha inventado un nuevo término para describir la situación: "hiperconectividad". Y el director del título quiere extender el concepto a la experiencia de juego:
"Todo 'Watch Dogs' se resume en "hiperconectividad". Para mí, esto tiene que significar todo el tiempo y en cualquier parte. Así que sí, otra gente está ahí fuera todo el tiempo, donde no te los esperas. Da igual que estés jugando sólo o en multijugador, está ocurriendo". Jonathan Morin, director creativo de 'Watch Dogs'.
Morin insiste en enfatizar la naturaleza "tiempo real" de la funcionalidad online, que tiene repercusión también en la campaña de juego en solitario. Como podéis ver, en Ubisoft parecen empeñados en crear un nuevo título de culto.
