El desarrollador Yifan Lu ha confirmado a través de su cuenta de Twitter que ha encontrado un fallo de seguridad en la portátil. Este le permitirá cargar homebrew en la consola mediante una aplicación. Esperemos que esto no abra la puerta a la carga de backups, ya que perjudicaría enormemente el avance y crecimiento de la consola.
Usermode Vita Loader es el nombre que recibe el programa que está desarrollando y por el cual, cualquier usuario podrá cargar aplicaciones caseras en la portátil. Esto abre la puerta a todo tipo de software como juegos o emuladores. Al parecer, tan solo tendría escritas unas cuantas líneas de código, por lo que todavía tardará un tiempo en publicar algo.
Lu no ha querido desvelar muchos detalles sobre el exploit, para evitar que Sony corrija el fallo de seguridad mediante próximas actualizaciones.
